一年一度的士多啤梨(草莓)季節又到，菜園訂購了一批符合有機認證的士多啤梨幼苗種植，價錢是非有機種苗的四倍，雖然成本高昂，為了報答一班多年來支持菜園的朋友和客戶，價錢已經變得次要，同時亦符合菜園對有機種植認真及嚴緊的態度。
Here comes the strawberry season of the year. The certified organic seedlings we bough from AFCD came from a farm in northern China. It is four times more expensive than the non-organic ones AFCD carries. Although we are running the farm with a lean budget, the price becomes a minor thing as we really love to thank our dear customers who have been so supportive and stand by us in all these years. More importantly, the organic standard of these seedlings meet our high expectations.

有機士多啤梨苗到手，農夫姐姐知道它們的珍貴，馬上把它們定植於準備好的田畦，然後一株一株淋水，再用遮蔭網覆蓋，讓幼苗有個舒適環境落地生根。

When our experienced lady farmers found out the cost, they treasure the organic strawberry seedling so much that they transplant them onto the plots allocated once the seedling batch was delivered to the farm. With loving care, they watered the seedlings one by one, covered them with shady net to make sure they grow in a comfortable environment.

種植了幾星期的士多啤梨苗，它們進展得好好但仍然好慢，農夫姐姐見草莓旁邊有大量空地，馬上圍繞畦邊定植了幾行白菜及小棠菜，盡量利用泥土空間種植，將來可以增加菜園收入。

The strawberry seedlings are growing pretty well but rather slow for the past few weeks. Our lady farmers reviewed the situation and planted a few rows of Chinese cabbages, both green and white ones, on the side at once to better utilize the limited growing area and in turn increase income of the farm.

草莓旁邊的野草越來越茂盛，農夫姐姐要出手清除，畦邊的小棠菜及白菜也開始成熟，過幾天就可以收割，菜園土地有限，能夠在最小空間種植最多的蔬菜，才能夠維持菜園的支出，所以農夫姐姐每次計劃種植，都會用這個原則落種。

草莓健康成長，已經開出小白花，農夫姐姐見到，馬上提議為它們建設防雨棚，防止果實成熟時，受到天雨及雀鳥破壞。

近日農夫姐姐發現，成熟的草莓給噴水系統影響，出現壞果情況，知道原因後，大家馬上在田畦上，建設滴灌設施，免果實再受灌溉水影響。

今天是年三十，施姐姐來田幫忙農務，將成熟草莓全部採收，重一邊摘一邊食，她說新鮮草莓的香味與別不同，即摘即食非常享受，稍後菜園會邀請大家來田試試。
