Amy's Blog: Miss Wang Meng was with the volunteers that came to our farm to help with some farm chores yesterday.
She told me it is very difficult for local farmers to introduce locally grown fresh veggies to the local Japanese community because the farmers could not speak Japanese.
That's bad!
Miss Wang is the editor of a Japanese magazine. Upon request of her readers, she initiated a special edition for high-quality local food and veggies with photos, so that Japanese people may have local resources to shop for safe food to cook for their families.
I decided to assist this kindhearted lady who came all the way to the farm to complete her mission. (ac)

Satoe san told me that Concierge is a well-known, time-honored, Hong Kong-based Japanese media, distributed by means of free monthly magazines. This type of free magazine is also known as Info-Journal (じょうほうし) which provides information on local living to Japanese community and travelers.
Our heartfelt thanks to Concierge for reporting on our farm, Satoe san for her introducing us to Miss Wang and Miss Wang for her recommendation. (ac)

Miss Wang translated the article from Japanese to Chinese:
Title: Freshly-harvested in-season veggies from a local organic farm
Content: Longing for a taste organic veggies in Hong Kong!
Local Produce is an organic farm established by a group of well-intentioned people (who are longing to taste locally grown organic veggies). About 70 kinds of cultivars such as spinach, salad veggie, radish, fruit and herbs are grown on its two farms in Yuen Long. All are certified organic–IFOAM accredited certification: ORC-C06005.
Local Produce cultivates different cultivars according to the seasons.
Apart from selling veggies at the farmers’ markets in Hong Kong, customers (who have signed up as veggie members) may choose from around 10 different kinds of in-season veggies and place their orders via member Whatsapp groups. The veggies they ordered will only be harvested in the morning of the delivery to ensure freshness. Local Produce has two blogs, one blog is to introduce some unique locally grown veggies and the other blog is to share recipes on different organic veggies grown on the farms. Even new-comers may be rest-assured to try their veggies.
In addition, customers may propose to the farm to grow veggies that they want to eat provided there is farmland available. They have quite a number of Japanese customers.
There is a special group base for Japanese customers. Please contact Ms. Sasaki, the Japanese volunteer, to learn more about the veggie home delivery service.
